Dr. Lauryn Debono earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Health Sciences at Oakland University in Michigan, where she competed as an NCAA Division I softball pitcher. Through years of competitive sport and personal injury recovery, she developed a strong interest in rehabilitation and performance care. Experiencing firsthand the benefits of chiropractic treatment ultimately inspired her to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is also certified in neurofunctional acupuncture, having completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course through McMaster University.
With a background as both a provincial and collegiate-level athlete, Lauryn understands the physical demands that sport and active lifestyles can place on the body. She combines both clinical training and personal experience to guide patient care. Her evidence-based, patient-centered approach incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques, including soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization and manipulation, electroacupuncture, exercise prescription, and patient education.
Lauryn works with a wide range of patient populations and has experience treating office workers, athletes, older adults, and pregnant patients. She is passionate about restoring function through individualized treatment plans and lifestyle modifications with the goal of achieving long-term improvement, rather than just short-term relief.
Outside of the clinic, Lauryn enjoys golfing, weight training, watching reality TV, exploring new food spots, and spending time with friends and family.
